Kavai Bar Cafe

Location: Chornomorsk, Odesa Oblast

Area: 57,4 m²

Task: to create a contemporary café interior with Ukrainian motifs without resorting to traditional or stereotypical solutions. To combine the clients’ wishes regarding Petrykivka painting, graffiti featuring Ukrainian cities, burgundy accents and mirrors into a cohesive spatial concept.

Result: the project was based on a balance between contemporary design and Ukrainian identity. We integrated Petrykivka painting and graphic images of Ukrainian cities in such a way that they appear relevant and organic, shaping the character of the space.

The layout was designed to accommodate various scenarios for visiting the venue. The space features areas for guests who come for a coffee on their own, work on a laptop, meet as a couple, or spend time with friends. This allows visitors to have a new experience of interacting with the interior every time.

The colour palette is built around burgundy shades, which were requested by the clients. To create visual balance and a more comfortable atmosphere, these were complemented by green accents, which add freshness and depth to the space.

Particular attention was paid to visually appealing areas and details that naturally catch guests’ attention and encourage them to take photos for social media. As a result, the interior serves not only as a comfortable space for relaxation, but also as a tool for building the venue’s brand recognition. The result is an atmospheric, contemporary café with a unique character that remains relevant and appealing to visitors in the long term.
