5 Practical tips for your bedroom: Effective advice from experienced designers
Do you want your bedroom to be an oasis of peace and comfort? It’s time to think about its design! A bedroom is not only a place to sleep, but also a space to recharge and relax. However, the way it looks can have a significant impact on your well-being and quality of sleep. To help you create the perfect bedroom, here are five practical tips from GL design studio:
5 practical tips for your bedroom
- The right lighting
Lighting plays an important role in creating the atmosphere in the bedroom. Ensure that you can use different light sources to create different moods. For example, use dimmed general lighting for evening reading, and soft, dimmable lighting to create a cosy atmosphere before bed.
- Colour palette
The choice of colours for the walls, furniture and textiles in your bedroom can affect how you feel. Choose calm, natural tones such as blue, grey, green or peach to create a sense of calm and comfort. Avoid bright and saturated colours, which can be overly stimulating at bedtime.
- The relaxation area
The bedroom should be a place where you can rest and relax. It is worth creating a seating area where you can comfortably sit down with a book or a cup of tea. Add a comfortable armchair, pouf or even a small table to create such a zone.
- Furniture wisely
Choose furniture based on its functionality and convenience. The bed should be comfortable with a comfortable mattress and a suitable lifting mechanism. In addition, consider using furniture with additional features, such as a bed with built-in storage or night tables with drawers.
- Textile accents
Add textile elements to the bedroom to create a cosy atmosphere. Soft carpets, cosy blankets, pillows and curtains can add texture and warmth to the space. Choose natural, breathable fabrics to ensure a healthy sleeping environment.
With these tips in mind, you can create a bedroom that not only looks attractive, but also promotes your health and comfort. Don’t be afraid to experiment and customise the design to your own taste and needs. After all, your bedroom is a personal space where you should feel your best.
More about the project
Harmony of modern renovation and natural beauty. The large, spacious bedroom is located on the second floor of the house, where there are beautiful panoramic windows with access to the terrace. Just like in a film, right?
The design is made in light white and beige shades using wooden panels on the walls with terracotta accents. The floor is covered with light parquet. A comfortable wide bed with a soft headboard on the sides has hanging bedside tables with minimalist brass pendant lamps hanging from them. A separate accent is the dressing table with a large round mirror with frontal lighting.
One of the customers’ wishes was to have a built-in wardrobe for storing things. We supplemented the wardrobe with open shelves with lighting for decoration.
The room turned out to be cosy, comfortable and quite minimalistic, without unnecessary details.
Interiors should be beautiful, allowing people to make their dreams and hopes come true!
