\nOn the contrary, there are many ways to make the room more spacious and comfortable.<\/p>\n
1. Light colours for walls and ceiling<\/p>\n
Light colours are your best friend when it comes to low ceilings. They visually expand the space and reflect more light, creating a sense of openness. Pastel shades, white and soft pastel colours are great for walls and ceilings, helping to make the room feel brighter and more spacious.<\/p>\n
2. Vertical details to raise the ceiling<\/p>\n
Use vertical details to visually raise the ceiling. Tall mirrors, large paintings or long curtains that descend from the very top of the wall create the impression of greater height. You should also pay attention to the use of vertical stripes on the walls, etc.<\/p>\n
3. Lighting to increase visual space<\/p>\n
Additional lighting can have a significant impact on the sense of space. Use different light sources to create bright and even lighting. Ceiling lights, spotlights, and even floor lamps can help to visually expand the room.<\/p>\n
4. Furniture with a mind<\/p>\n
When choosing furniture, it is important to pay attention to its size and shape. Avoid furniture that is too low and creates a cramped feeling. Choose tall furniture with vertical lines to make people look up and make the room feel deeper and more spacious.<\/p>\n

Transforming a rural house
\nwith a lot of rooms and a stove. Anything is possible if you are smart and creative! The peculiarity of this house was its very low ceilings (2.165m).
\nTherefore, we decided to remove the foam boards from the ceiling, thus increasing the height of the rooms. The design has almost no colour transition from the ceiling to the upper kitchen cabinets. Thanks to this, the space was visually lengthened!
\nOne wall was equipped with only a lightweight design of open shelves above the worktop, which also significantly increased the height of the kitchen. The kitchen turned out to be in light shades with subtle colour accents, which made it cosy, warm and spacious. In the living room, we dismantled the doors, so the lightness and warmth of the kitchen smoothly flows there!
\nWe added a wood-burning fireplace to the cosy atmosphere!<\/p>\n
Interiors should be beautiful, even if it’s a design in an old farmhouse!
